The purpose of this organization is to provide an environment that encourages participation girls and boys of all ages to learn the fundamentals of volleyball and have fun doing so. In order to accomplish this, the Eastside Volleyball Club, Inc. Board of Directors will provide and maintain the facilities, organize and direct the program, and promote parental and community involvement to achieve these aims. The end result of this activity provides girls and boys good fundamental skills to enhance volleyball programs in Central Illinois. We encourage all potential players in Central Illinois to participate. The focus on the Eastside Volleyball Club, Inc. is and has been to increase the level of play of the volleyball infrastructure in all of Central Illinois through several levels of the volleyball program up to and including an Elite program.

 The Eastside VBC is pleased to again offer the 2014 Fall Youth Clinic for Kindergarten thru 8th grade girls/boys. The clinic is an excellent clinic as an intro for the younger players, and a great warm-up for the older girls that are embarking on their school programs.

Particpants are able to sign up the on September 7, 2014. The following is the schedule for the clinic:

*** UPDATED *** Eastside 2014 Fall Dig-it League 12U-14U

 The Eastside VBC is pleased to offer the new 2014 Dig-it Youth League for 12U to 14U girls/boys. The league will start on September 5, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the RiverPlex. At that time we will go over the process of the league. Participants can register the first night of the league. The new Dig-it League will be comprised of the following details:

  • The training portion will be station driven where each individual player can elect to work on whatever station they would like to on each of the Monday sessions. The training sessions will be 60 minites long. 5th/6th graders will be 6:00-7:00 pm, 7th graders will be 7:00-8:00 pm, and 8th graders will be 8:00-9:00 pm.
  • The competition portion will be run as a "mad hatter" type of event. Players will elect which position they would like to play on a given night, be placed in a tiered hat, and the team players will be selected from those hat's, hence the term "mad hatter". League play will be at the Peoria RiverPlex and at Lakeview Recreation Center.
  • League standings will be by the individual in their tiered group.

2014 Volleyball Rankings

 Nice job Eastside VBC teams!!!!


 The 2014 National and State Rankings for 12’s, 13’s, 14’s 15’s 16’s 17’s and 18’s have just been released. Over 110 tournaments results from all over the country were used in the ranking system. Every finish at an event was given points based upon how competitive that tournament/division was. Then took each team’s top 3 finishes (highest points) to get the final ranking.

Eastside Sand VB Training Sessions

 The training sessions for our Sand Volleyball Program will be held on Friday nights at the Peoria RiverPlex. The following are the times:

5:00-6:00 pm - 18U

6:00-7:00 pm - 12U & 14U

7:00-8:00 pm - 16U

 The Eastside Volleyball Club is pleased to introduce the Womens Sand Crab Doubles Volleyball Series. Women that are interested in working our Friday night Junior Sessions, could potentially play as comp teams for volunteering their help. Eastside VBC 2014 Summer Sand Tournament Series

 The Eastside VBC is pleased to host their 2014 Summer Sand Series that will be held on the banks of the Illinois River on 12 beutiful sand courts. Two feature events will be held the summer of 2014.

  • Red, White, and Boom will be held the same time as the 2014 Central Illinois 4th of July festival.
  • Jam & Spike will be a combination indoor/outdoor event. Indoor teams will be split into doubles teams for the sand portion of the event.

Eastside Summer 2014 Sand VB Program

 The Eastside Volleyball Club is pleased to offer a comprehensive sand volleyball program for 10U to 18U players. The program will consist of training on Friday evenings and 4 touinaments. 10U-12U will be trained using the sand lite ball on a shorter net. The program will run from June 20 to August 1, 2014.. Registration for the Eastside Sand Program should be submited by June. The following are some details based on questions:

  • 14's, 16's, and 18's will play 2's or better known as Doubles.
  • 10's & 12's will play 4's using a Sand Lite Ball.
  • Players are encouraged to put their own teams together. We will place those that do not have partners on teams.
  • The VB Program fee includes the 4 hosted Sand events.
  • Training sessions on Friday night are 18's - 5:00-6:00 pm; 10's, 12's, 14's - 6:00-7:00 pm; 16's - 7:00-8:00 pm.
  • Training sessions will be a tutorial on how the Sand Game is played.

Why: Permanent results by using the "over-correction" learning method combined with --Survivor--The popular king/queen of the court game. Skill development results from actual play, using a unique approach beyond six-on-six competition.  Current skill level is not an issue.

Eastside VBC 2014 Winter / Spring Volleyball Program

 Eastside Winter 2014 Winter 4th / 5th Clinic/League

We are pleased to offer our first 4th/5th grade winter program. The purpose of this program is teach beginners to "play" the game. During the 8 week program we will alternate weeks as follows:
  • Week 1 - 60 minutes skills / 30 minutes teaching serving & serve receiving basic rotations.
  • Week 2 - 30 minutes review serving / serve receive basic rotations / 60 minutes game play.
Location 1: Thursday's @ The Peoria River Plex - 5:00-6:30 pm
Location 2: Tuesday's @ Great Oaks Church - Germantown Hills - 6:00-7:30 pm
Dates: January 7 - February 27, 2014
Limit around 24 participants each location
We are once again pleased to offer a Winter Clinic for VolleyTots (Pre-k to 1st) and VolleyKids (2nd to 3rd). 
  • The VolleyTots are taught very, very basic volleyball skills with a focus on the required motor skills to play volleyball. 
  • VolleyKids are taught passing, serving, and arm swing technique to prepare them to learn to play the game. Some small game play will be done with the VolleyKids group.
Location 1: Sunday's @ Germatown Hills Middle School - 2:00-3:30 pm
Location 2: Saturday's @ Peoria Lakeview Park - 8:30-9:45 am / 9:45-11:00 am
Dates: January 11 - March 1, 2014
We are pleased to offer a program for 1st-8th graders during the Spring of 2014. The following are the programs that will be offered:
  • JHS/GS Travel Volleyball Program - Plans are for up tempos practices and a very aggressive playing schedule, culminating the season when our teams will compete at the AAU Junior National Tournament in Orlando, FL, where 1000's of teams world wide will compete. Season runs from March to June. Practices will be at the River Plex.
  • JHS/GS Local Program - Plans are for another packed season from March to May. Practices will be at River Plex, Dunlap, and East Peoria.
  • Mini Volleyball League - Target audience is 1st to 4th grade. This program will consist of 1 practice during the week and a 4's league match early Friday evenings at the River Plex.
More details for all of these programs will be provided at the Information Meeting on February 9, 2014 at the Peoria RiverPlex. Spring Fund Raising will also start at that time.
